Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 2026. This policy applies to all apps and services published by Herding Labs. It explains what information we process, why, and your rights.

Common Glow: See the Common Glow Privacy Policy for its specific data practices. That policy governs Common Glow; the general descriptions below do not add features or data collection to Common Glow.

1. The short version

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
• We process the inputs you provide to make app features work.
• You can request export or deletion by emailing hello@herdinglabs.com.

2. Information we may collect or process

Depending on which app you use and how, we may process:

• Content you provide — photos, text, logs, entries, and other information you add while using the app.
• Account and device identifiers — needed to keep the app working, such as login identifiers and subscription status via Apple.
• Usage and diagnostics — crash logs and performance events used to improve reliability.
• Location context — general location, only if you grant permission, used for location-aware features (such as weather-based suggestions).

Payments: subscriptions and billing are handled entirely by Apple. Herding Labs does not receive your full payment card details.

3. How we use information

• To operate core app features you request.
• To personalize your experience based on your content and preferences.
• To maintain subscriptions and entitlements through Apple.
• To diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and improve stability.
• To respond to support requests.

4. AI processing

Some features use AI to analyze content or generate results. When you use those features, relevant inputs may be sent securely to AI providers for processing. The purpose is to generate the result you requested. We share only what is needed for the feature to function.

5. Third-party services

Our apps may rely on third-party services to operate, including:

• Apple (StoreKit) for subscriptions and billing.
• AI providers for AI-powered features.
• Analytics or crash reporting tools to monitor app health.

These providers process data under their own terms and security practices.

5a. MISLINE analytics

MISLINE analytics disclosure effective: October 12, 2026

This section applies only to analytics in MISLINE releases with TelemetryDeck enabled. It supplements Sections 2, 3 and 5. Its retention and access provisions qualify Sections 6 and 7 only for MISLINE analytics; they do not change the terms for Grayne or other Herding Labs apps.

MISLINE uses TelemetryDeck GmbH to understand feature use and improve onboarding, puzzles and the library unlock. Events record app launches, onboarding choices, puzzle opens, hint use, solves, paywall views, purchase attempts, verified purchase completions and successful restores. Puzzle events include only the guided, daily or library mode.

The SDK adds a device identifier hashed on the device with a MISLINE-specific salt, a random session identifier and event timing. It also sends app, build, SDK and operating-system versions; device and display characteristics; language, locale, region and timezone settings; interface and accessibility preferences; calendar and hour information; and first-session, usage-day, session-count and duration statistics. The identifier supports analytics without including a name or account identifier. We do not combine MISLINE analytics with Grayne’s dataset or use it for advertising tracking.

MISLINE does not send TelemetryDeck puzzle answers, shape orders, saved-game contents, puzzle identifiers, personal text, email addresses, Apple Account information, advertising identifiers, payment details, receipts or transaction identifiers. Purchase events describe outcomes without product IDs, prices or transaction details. Puzzle progress remains stored locally. Apple processes in-app purchases under its own policies.

Events are sent over HTTPS. TelemetryDeck’s app-analytics Privacy FAQ states that IP addresses are not stored on its analytics servers and stored event timestamps are rounded to the nearest hour. MISLINE creates event timestamps before transmission; separate calendar and session-duration fields are also included. These statements describe the provider’s published practices, rather than an independent verification of its servers.

For MISLINE analytics specifically, the period when events can be queried depends on the TelemetryDeck service plan. Events outside that period may remain in cold storage. TelemetryDeck publishes no guaranteed deletion schedule for cold-storage events and states that analytics data is retained when a TelemetryDeck account is closed. A query-retention limit is not a deletion deadline.

You may send privacy questions or access, correction, export or deletion requests to hello@herdinglabs.com. Because MISLINE analytics contain no names or account identifiers, we may be unable to match particular events to a person requesting export or deletion. This qualification concerns MISLINE analytics only; the existing contact and request provisions continue to apply to other information covered by this policy.

6. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data by emailing hello@herdinglabs.com. You can stop using any app at any time by removing it and managing subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we take security seriously and improve controls as our products evolve.

9. Children's privacy

Our apps are intended for users age 13 and older unless otherwise stated, and are not directed to children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, notice in the app or on this site.
